WEEKLY CHALLENGE

Every week I'm going to be posting a weekly challenge. These are just suggestions on how to get a little more out of our crazy lives.

This weeks challenge:
If you get in a weird funk during the day turn on your favorite music and DANCE. You'll find yourself happier and more energetic. I do it all the time, especially with my kids. Sometimes we just need to let loose and let the kid in us take over. Just because we're adults doesn't mean we can't have fun!

CROCKPOT PESTO RANCH CHICKEN

I found this chicken recipe on pinterest and made it for dinner tonight. (The plate doesn't look this messy when you serve it. My husband wolfed down his first serving before I could get a picture.)

The chicken was made in the crock pot and then I made mashed potatoes to serve with it.
It was amazing!

My husband couldn't stop raving about it. He said that if we ever have any of his superiors over for dinner this is the dish he wants me to make because "it's super easy, tastes amazing, and it will make him look good." Hahaha...gotta love him :)

This is definitely one of those recipes you can eat alone or that would be good with rice, potatoes, quinoa, served over pasta, or any other side you can think of.

Try it! I would love to hear what you think of it!

MARSH MELLOW

I found this idea on pinterest about a year ago and haven't had to throw out rock hard brown sugar since. Before I saw this pin I had always just used a piece of bread (which works too), but I would have to cut the bread to fit into my brown sugar jar. With marsh mellows I don't have to do that. It's awesome!

This year as a family we made cookies and dropped them off at our neighbors homes. Just to make sure that our cookies didn't get too hard we added 2 marsh mellows to each container. We use them in our own cookie jar here at home.
Who knew that marsh mellows were more than just sweet treats!

HELLO BLOGGERS!

I am super stoked about starting this blog!

This blog is meant to be informative as well as entertaining.  My life as a military wife and a stay-at-home mom is anything but boring. I am a big fan of Pinterest, cooking, great finds, everything musical, chocolate (especially dark chocolate), and of course being a mom.

I seriously LOVE my life and hope to share a little of that love with you :)
